The More You Know the Better It Gets ! According to a motorcycle accident study involving the analysis of 3,600 motorcycle accidents, 92% of the riders were either self-taught or taught by family or friends. In the accidents studied, only 17% of the riders used both brakes: only 16% chose the correct evasive action, and 32% did nothing to avoid the accident. Another interesting finding was that more than half of the accident-involved riders had less than 5 months experience on the accident cycle, although total ride experience was almost 3 years.
